How is the treatment done?

Firstly we collect a sample of your blood. A highly advanced centrifuge machine is then used to spin the blood down to separate the red blood cells from the PRP concentrate. This is then collected and prepared ready to inject into the areas requiring treatment.

Centrifuge machines are of different qualities and speeds, due to different functions and requirements, and the machine that we use is of the highest standard and tailor-made for cutting-edge PRP treatment. It uses the optimal number of spinning cycles to ensure that the PRP collected is of the highest quality.

With a thin needle, your own Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is then injected into the scalp. The growth factors in your blood cells then do their job and hair growth is naturally stimulated.

Frequently asked questions about PRP hair treatment

Does it hurt?

PRP treatment is well tolerated, and we have not yet had one client that did not return for further treatments due to discomfort.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments required can vary depending on the severity of the hair loss or thinning, but we would normally recommend a minimum of four treatments to allow your hair a good opportunity to thrive. We would reassess you at this point and then recommend further treatment only if required.

The treatment programme consists of 4 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

When will I see results?

We would not normally advise you to judge the results until you have had your fourth treatment, as each treatment has a cumulative effect on top of previous treatments.

You should find a difference in two ways at this point:

Less hair loss and breakage
Thicker hair growth
